Linda Dreiling, writer|artist
Linda’s love for art and literature was cultivated when she was a young girl. Although her comic strip Karii, which she designed at age 7, never took off, she continues to draw, paint, do hand lettering, and work on illustrations. Linda has taught calligraphy and lettering design. She prefers to use colored pencil, watercolor, and pen and ink to express her whimsical, lighthearted style.

Linda is also a passionate lover of words, grammar, and poetry. It was while working in a children's bookstore during high school that her personal vision to become a writer and illustrator was clarified. Linda is the founder of a very successful story time program in her community, where the average attendance is 50 children. She has a certificate in Writing for Children from The Institute of Children's Literature and busies herself with freelance editing, writing, and illustration.

Memorable Moment in Life:
"I was 8. My black and yellow Pro Thunder dirt bike had no scratches on it and I was in love. Deciding to fly down the dirty, construction-abused hill was easy. Getting myself up after crashing into the rubble at the bottom was the difficult part. But hey! What's a bruise and some blood when you're on a Pro Thunder?"
